Well, it's getting down to the wire. The Saucer opens Thursday and I can't wait! It seems like we've been working on it forever even though it's only been about a month. There's still a few things to be done but for the most part we're ready to go. Maureen is even going to make a cheesecake. That alone might be worth the trip to The Saucer since we all know how she loves to cook. Even though we've been busy with the coffeeshop, things are still trucking along in Snap & Scrap, too. We just received lots of new papers last week and also some cool organizational bags and totes for crops. If you haven't been in lately, you'll want to drop by soon. Gotta run for now. Later!!!

Hello Everyone,

Wow, there's lots going on at Snap & Scrap. I just sent out an email to all our loyal customers so if you are one of those folks, thanks for checking out my blog but you might be bored with the rest of this thing cause it's basically the same thing I said in my email. However, it the future, this is definitely where you need to go to keep up with day-to-day happenings at Snap & Scrap and The Saucer.

For those of you who are anxiously awaiting (and frequently calling about!) the opening of The Saucer, just a few more days to go. Our Grand Opening will be Thursday, October 4th!!! We'll be open at 8:00 am for all those wonderful coffees as well as freshly baked muffins, scones and cinnamon rolls. Mmmmmm. We won't be closing until 9:00 pm so you can bring your kids, friends, hubby, and anyone else you can entice for a freshly baked cookie, brownie with ice cream, pound cake and more. And if that isn't enough good news, the Snap & Scrap will be open during that same time! Whoo Hoo. That means you can shop for your favorite scrapbooking supplies while your kids enjoy some good cookies and milk.

We had a great time at ScrapFest and saw lots of new fun scrapbooking papers and embellishments. You know we can't resist getting new stuff so, you guessed it, we ordered tons. We've placed orders with new companies so we'll have papers and embellishments that we haven't carried in the past. New stuff from some of your tried-and-true favorite companies is on it's way, too. We should be getting those shipments in a little later this week.

Just want to mention our website right quick in case you haven't checked it out lately. My poor husband has been working diligently to get it all set up and ready to roll. He's finally almost finished and it's beautiful! We've given it a fresh face and will be posting new layouts frequently. We're still working on getting all of our products listed so you'll be able to shop with us on-line. We apologize that it's taking so long but be assured that we're working hard at it and will have it up and running as soon as possible.

We're so excited about everything that's happening around here and want to be sure that we meet the needs of all our customers - current and new alike. Let us know how we're doing. Please feel free to give us feedback on what you like, love, wish we hadn't changed, etc. We want Snap & Scrap and The Saucer to be your favorite places to visit and hang out so let us know how we're doing. We're big girls, we can take it.

Guess I've said enough for now. Keep and eye out here for updates and come see us soon!

Have a great day!

Hello everyone who is curious enough to check out a new blog. My name is Becky and I am the owner of Snap and Scrap...a very cool scrapbook store. I bought the store in January and have been meaning to start a blog since my second week here. Not that I am a procrastinator, but new technology scares a person of my generation. Maureen has been bugging me about it for months, I keep reading in business magazines about how blogging is the way to keep in touch with your customers, my kids keep asking me when I'm going to start blogging so I finally bit the bullet and here I am! I'm not sure what exactly it is that I am supposed to be writing so I'll just pretend that you are my diary and I'll catch you up on what is going on at the Snap and Scrap.

Since we are a scrapbook store, of course we have tons of patterned paper, bazzill cardstock, stickers, embellishments, etc. We also have lots of cool layouts (mostly by Maureen) all around the store for folks to look at and get ideas from. I just love that! Some of us are not as creative as others and need a jumping-off point to get us started. We do all sorts of classes from beginners to advanced and everything in between.

Our latest endeavour is to open a coffeeshop inside the store. The coffeeshop is called The Saucer
and will open within the next two weeks. The Saucer is open to anyone, not just scrapbookers. McComb doesn't have a coffeeshop so there is no place for people to go for a good cup of coffee, cappuccino, latte, espresso, smoothies, etc. The Saucer will be open 8 - 5 on Mon-Wed and 8 - 9 Thurs - Saturday. What a great place to go to hang out with friends, have a cappuccino or mocha freeze with caramel and a piece of homemade pound cake, cheesecake or a brownie with ice cream. Mmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I hope Maureen and I don't gain 30 pounds working in here every day. Keep an eye out here for the anouncement of the grand opening, grab a friend and come on down.

Well, I guess I've said enough for my first blog so I'll go get busy painting chairs and tables for The Saucer. Till next time.....
